While on Spring Break some thirty years ago, a young girl met a handsome young man from Mexico Beach and fell in love. Together, they began a heavy equipment company that grew into a highly successful development firm.

Mexico Beach Harmon Realty, Inc. was founded in 1981. Barbara Harmon, the Broker/Owner, has been selling and developing real estate in Mexico Beach and along "The Forgotten Coast" for over 25 years. Barbara and Bubba Harmon have witnessed, and been a part of the enormous changes that Mexico Beach and "The Forgotten Coast" have undergone over the past three decades. What was once a sleepy coastal fishing village, has now flourished into a thriving coastal community. With this growth, the real estate market has prospered, and property values have risen. Mexico Beach Harmon Realty, Inc., over the course of this time, has become a successful family owned real estate and development firm because of hard work, personal involvement with clients, and our belief that a hands-on management style works best in real estate.

Working together, Mexico Beach Harmon Realty, Inc. and Harmon's Heavy Equipment Company, Inc. have developed over 100 properties along "The Forgotten Coast". More recently, they collaborated in developing several new subdivisions in the Mexico Beach and St Joe Beach areas.

Palm Ridge Subdivision developed in 2000 was one of the first subdivisions developed in Gulf County under the new comprehensive plan. Paradise Cove Subdivision in Mexico Beach was developed in 2002, and Magnolia Bluff Subdivision in St Joe Beach in 2003. Development and sales of premier coastal communities along "The Forgotten Coast" has been a committed endeavor of both business enterprises.

Future plans include a development of a 165 acre site located on Hwy 386 just 4 blocks from the beach and adjacent to the newly proposed Gulf Coast Parkway. The development will include an upscale commercial shopping district as well as a gated estate home community with lakefront and creek front lots.
